When I was still a kid, it used to be that a birthday party meant having a cake, if you were good and a couple of presents, which generally ended up being attire for school and, possibly a toy. Birthday parties are now huge business, and we to be living in a world of themed events that will run into the hundreds and thousands of dollars, stretching even the most liberal of parent’s budgets. There are kids party venues to suit all financial positions, and set out below are just a few which will give parents an idea of the simple way to keep their little ones delighted on their important day.

If you live on a restricted budget, then throwing the party in your own home may well be the most effective way to go. Your living room can be decorated on the cheap, and the event can actually be extended by allowing your children to invite a couple of friends for a sleepover after the main party is over. The downside is that your whole house is overrun by a bunch of kids that look to be fixed on inflicting as much damage as possible, so another low cost alternative, which would not result in property damage, is hosting the party at a local park. This is an alternative that proves to be low cost and also offers lots of open space for excitable children to blow off their party steam.

Another less expensive choice is to have the party at your local pool. Many communities actually have a swim/tennis area, and many of them have a community type building attached, which can on occasion be rented for a reasonable fee. Youngsters love the pool, and if it is a summer birthday, this may be the option that is most likely to make all the youngsters happy. Also on the bottom of the price scale, particularly if you can keep the party smaller, is to have it at a fast food outlet or kid themed eatery like Chuck E. Cheese. Those places often offer decent package deals, and can really be quite reasonable, especially if you limit the food to just the kids and have parents pay for their own.

For people that have some funds to burn, there are a number of higher priced birthday celebration options, most of which necessitate minimal planning, but will need a fair of adult supervision. Bowling has become very hip for kids parties, but the charges can start to get up there when you add on shoe rentals, food, and more games. Most children love the flicks and modern theaters accommodate that by offering party rooms to go alongside ticket sales for the movie. Again, a costly option given how much ticket costs have risen, but even that would look like a reasonable price to pay if you choose to opt for the theme park route. That is not a route that would be available to the majority but those who live in or around a big city generally have access to a huge theme park.

Regardless of what you decide, you have to make the decision based primarily on your position rather than your kids wish for a giant blowout bash. There are more than enough choices available to make even the pickiest of kids happy on their birthday.

Are your kids afraid of Halloween? Perhaps, they have also this misunderstanding that during Halloween the dead people are rising or there are lots of ghost around which really scare them. But there are also children who love Halloween since the event gives them thrill and excitement. For them Halloween is adventure most especially if there is a Halloween party. Try to provide your children Halloween party so that you can explain to them that Halloween should suppose to be fun. It is a celebration when family and friends gather together to reminisce the memories of their loved ones who have gone away.

How to make a Halloween party?

*	Write down all of your invited children. It will be more exciting if there are more children.

*	Decide for the venue. If you have more space at home, then don’t go too far. You can celebrate Halloween party in your house. Just be creative.

*	You can send invitations. Or, to cut off the cost of the party, you can just inform the children and their parents about the event.

*	Think of the decorations. Make your house appears old and dark. Use of colors like black, white, and orange. You can check online for some homemade Halloween decorations or you can also go at the market to buy the ready-made ones. Make use of your trees in your garden. Put on the trees some lights or skeleton of dead body. Hang jack ‘o’ lantern and spider web everywhere. You can also use candles, but see to it that it is safe for the kids.

*	Serve uncommon foods like candies in the eyeball forms, spaghetti which appears red with the sauce and cookies that has ghost shapes. For the drinks, make strawberry juices, carrots juices, or grape juices which are in dark colors.

*	Prepare for the costumes. Once the Halloween comes near, there are plenty of costumes too available at the department store. You can choose simpler and cheaper costumes which gives comfort to your kids as they wear them. You can put dark make-up to their face and some accessories to make them appear more real.

*	Make games or programs. Create games that will surely make the kids enjoy. Instead of choosing games that are scary, choose those games which are more enjoyable and entertaining. This will erase the misconception of the kids about those scary imaginations.

Party denotes fun and excitement throughout the event. It is a moment when all of the special people to the celebrant’s life come and gather together. Not only that, part of the party is on what you should wear and how to look at your best.

Children gets happier too when they are invited to come to a children’s party of their friends. However, the parents get more excited for their kids. Maybe because they feel proud for their child, they’ll see to it that their child will be looking at their best.

Below are the lists on how to prepare for a children’s party

Costume or Outfit

Most children’s party comes with a theme. As soon as you receive an invitation, see to it that you’ll confirm if the visitors need to be in their proper costume which goes along the party theme. In this case, you will have the time to look for a costume that is suitable for your child. Different costumes are now available at the market. If you have trouble looking for one, you can also try to check online. Just remember that your child should look good while wearing the costume.

Make ups

Even your boy can wear makeup as long as it goes along with the character. Makeup will add more beauty and it will make the character becomes real. But before you apply makeup, see to it that your child is not allergic to it. In this way, irritation to the face will be prevented.

Accessories

There are plenty of accessories that you can use for your child’s outfit. You can apply hats, jewelleries, and even wig. Although these stuffs are a bit expensive, your child will enjoy it more if he looks and feels like his favourite cartoon character.

Other Tips:

*	Make sure that your child is always safe at the party. As you know, children are very energetic. They might have injuries if they are not properly guarded.

*	It is best to bring extra towel to keep him dry while playing around.

*	Bring extra shirt as he might get irritated with his costume.

*	Let him have fun in the party.

Kids love slumber parties! There’s a certain age when slumber parties are pretty much the best thing to do with friends. For the parents, however, the night can be a little overbearing when it comes to the corralling and entertaining of the kids. If your son or daughter is itching to have a slumber party soon, have some childens activities planned ahead of time.

To make the night go more smoothly for you, get some time killers and activities ready to go. There’s nothing worse than a houseful of bored children. But don’t go overboard. Overscheduling can result in an over-regimented slumber party that stresses the kids out and is no fun for anyone.

Having the children watch a video is a great way to pass the time. You can rent the latest release if you know what they want to watch. Or you could have the party goers choose the flick. After the kids have voted on a movie, one of the adults could go to the video store while another stays home to supervise the kids preparing their movie-watching snacks and drinks. Or you could take all of the kids to the video store to see what choices are available and pick out the movie.

Go through your stockpile of family board games and let the guests choose a few to play. Simple games and ones with short game plays will be best, especially when the slumber party is being attended by children under ten. Young children don’t have a long enough attention span to play Monopoly. A deck of cards is always a safe bet too.

You could let the kids create their own board game. Just supply them a few art supplies and let them run with it. Cardboard, colored pencils, and markers can be transformed into a wonderful custom game in the hands of a bunch of giggling kids. What a creative and productive way to spend a few hours! After they’ve finished, borrow a few dice and pieces from other games and play with them on their new board.

Turn over the kitchen to the kids and let them make something yummy to eat. Cakes, brownies and cookies are pretty easy for kids to make. Ice cream sundaes or pizzas are other options. Whatever they make, kids will love to eat their own creations afterwards. Depending on the age of the kids, you may need to operate the oven and cut anything that requires a knife.

Supply the kids with some extra blankets, quilts, and pillows and let them build a fort in your living room. Let them move the couches and pull chairs and stools from around the house to incorporate in their fort. If they are allowed to rearrange the furniture, they can make a fort big enough for all of them to fit. Adding pillows and stuffed animals will make the interior quite posh. After it has been constructed, have the children move their sleeping bags into it if they feel like spending the night in it.

When it is time for bed, gather the kids in their new fort. Hand each person a flashlight and spend a few minutes telling spooky stories. If you feel that the children are too young for stories of this caliber then let each child take turns reading from a favorite book instead. By this time, they should be pretty tired. Have them brush their teeth and go to the bathroom before they fall asleep. Then congratulate yourself on a job well done and go to bed!

Kids love slumber parties! There’s a certain age when slumber parties are pretty much the best thing to do with friends. Entertaining and corralling a bunch of kids for a whole night can be somewhat trying for the host or hostess’s parents though. If your son or daughter is itching to have a slumber party soon, have some childens activities planned ahead of time.

Having some kind of activities and time wasters planned will definitely make the night go smoother for you. A house full of bored children is about the worst thing you could have. But don’t go overboard. Overscheduling can result in an over-regimented slumber party that stresses the kids out and is no fun for anyone.

The DVD player can buy you a couple of hours of relative quiet. Rent a video beforehand or give each kid a pencil and paper and have them vote on which movie to get. While you are renting the tape, have the slumber party guests get their movie watching snacks and drinks ready (with adult supervision, of course).

Board games can be a big hit. Don’t just get out all of your board games, though. With too many to choose from, they’ll never agree. Pick out a few appropriate games ahead of time.

In the hands of small children, card board, markers, glue, and colored pencils can easily be transformed into a homemade game. What a creative and productive way to spend a few hours! Once their masterpiece is ready, get a few game pieces and dice from another game to use on the newly designed game.

Turn over the kitchen to the kids and let them make something yummy to eat. Cakes, brownies and cookies are pretty easy for kids to make. Ice cream sundaes or pizzas are other options. Whatever they make, kids will love to eat their own creations afterwards. Let the kids do the basic mixing and gathering of ingredients but handle any knife and oven usage yourself.

Supply the kids with some extra blankets, quilts, and pillows and let them build a fort in your living room. To make the structure more stable, push your couches and other chairs together and drape some of the blankets over them. Adding pillows and stuffed animals will make the interior quite posh. No doubt the kids will want to move their sleeping bags in so they can sleep inside the tent.

When that most wonderful (to parents) time, bedtime, has arrived, have the kids gather in their fort. Hand each person a flashlight and spend a few minutes telling spooky stories. If the kids are too young for scary stories, read to them from a favorite book or let them take turns reading. By this time, they should be pretty tired. Have them brush their teeth and go to the bathroom before they fall asleep. Then congratulate yourself on a job well done and go to bed!

Comfy forts are always popular. Give the kids extra blankets, sheets and pillows and let them build their own secret fortress. To make the structure more stable, push your couches and other chairs together and drape some of the blankets over them. Adding pillows and stuffed animals will make the interior quite posh. No doubt the kids will want to move their sleeping bags in so they can sleep inside the tent.

When it is time for bed, gather the kids in their new fort. Hand each person a flashlight and spend a few minutes telling spooky stories. If you feel that the children are too young for stories of this caliber then let each child take turns reading from a favorite book instead. Then, after every one has brushed their teeth and washed their faces, put the slumber party guests to bed and pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

Slumber parties are an exciting and thrilling event for the young children participating in them. For the parents, however, the night can be a little overbearing when it comes to the corralling and entertaining of the kids. If your son or daughter is itching to have a slumber party soon, have some childens activities planned ahead of time.

Having some kind of activities and time wasters planned will definitely make the night go smoother for you. There’s nothing worse than a houseful of bored children. But don’t go overboard. Overscheduling can result in an over-regimented slumber party that stresses the kids out and is no fun for anyone.

Having the children watch a video is a great way to pass the time.

Games with fairly simple rules and that don’t take too long to play usually work best, especially if the slumber party guests are under eleven or so. That age group tends to have a short attention span. A deck of cards is always a safe bet too.

You could let the kids create their own board game. Just supply them a few art supplies and let them run with it. Cardboard, colored pencils, and markers can be transformed into a wonderful custom game in the hands of a bunch of giggling kids. It is also an ingenious and creative way for the kids to spend a few hours. After they’ve finished, borrow a few dice and pieces from other games and play with them on their new board.

Turn over the kitchen to the kids and let them make something yummy to eat. Things like cookies, brownies, and cakes are both relatively easy to make and will be a big delicious hit with the kids afterwards. Depending on the age of the kids, you may need to operate the oven and cut anything that requires a knife.

Comfy forts are always popular. Give the kids extra blankets, sheets and pillows and let them build their own secret fortress. To make the structure more stable, push your couches and other chairs together and drape some of the blankets over them. Lay several fluffy pillows on the ground to make the fort’s interior more comfortable. No doubt the kids will want to move their sleeping bags in so they can sleep inside the tent.

When that most wonderful (to parents) time, bedtime, has arrived, have the kids gather in their fort. If the kids are old enough, turn out the house lights, give them flashlights and let them tell spooky stories. Or you could read them a scary story. If you feel that the children are too young for stories of this caliber then let each child take turns reading from a favorite book instead. By this time, they should be pretty tired. Have them brush their teeth and go to the bathroom before they fall asleep. Then congratulate yourself on a job well done and go to bed!

Printable Halloween masks are a wonderful way to save money on costumes. Since children love to dress up as a scary creature or their favorite hero, the printable mask ideas allow the children to be whatever they want without breaking the bank.

There is no better way to have fun with the holiday than to allow your child to create his or her costume that they can personalize. It is a fun project for you and your child to do together and the printable Halloween masks will serve as an excellent addition to your child’s costume.

A printer and a computer is all you need to create these printable Halloween masks. By searching images on the Internet you can find your childs favorite character, hero or something very spooky and scary.

After searching and finding the perfect mask, you just have to right click on the image and decide where you want to save it on your computer.

When you have the image saved you can adjust the size for your printer and then proceed by printing off your mask. After the image has been printed onto your paper it is time to take the printable Halloween mask and cut out the shape of the mask.

Once you have finished with those steps you will want to punch a small hole of each side of the mask. Use a string, piece of yarn, or an elastic band and secure each end to the holes in the mask. This will allow your child to wear the mask hands free.

For children that tend to get irritated by the string around the head, you can skip that part and simply glue a popsicle stick to the bottom front of the mask. This way, your child will be able to hold the mask up to his or her face and remove it whenever its needed or wanted.

By using this kind of creative Halloween mask making, it will let your child be their own designer for their own Halloween costume This technique can also allow your child to learn some independents. So if you would like to create a fun time that both you and your children can enjoy try this idea for this Halloween season.
