10 Harry Potter Birthday Party Decorations You Can’t Do Without

by Patti Lauwers

Harry Potter and his friends are not just characters in a series of books and films. They’re icons that make for the ideal theme for your child’s next birthday party. Check out all the Harry Potter birthday supplies and make your child’s next celebration a wizard of an event.

Start with the Harry Potter Deluxe Party Pack and get everything you need in one convenient package. It features magical delights to meet all your serving and decoration needs. Plates, cups, activity placemats, crepe paper, and so much more, all at your fingertips. Just wave your wand.

And, speaking of wands, you’ve got a number of choices. Check out the Harry Potter Motion-Activated Light & Sound Wand. It makes eerie sounds ideal for the party, during Halloween, anytime. Then there’s the really popular Hermione Wand. It’s a perfect replica of the one used by the clever girl herself. You can use it by itself or as an addition to a complete Hermione costume.

If you’re considering Harry Potter costumes, there are an equally large number of options. The Harry Potter Gryffindor Child Costume is a great choice. Face down Dementors or You-Know-Who without fear. Comes with a black-hooded robe, a burgundy linter, and an authentic Gryffindor patch.

You can complete the look with a Gryffindor Tie and Harry Potter Child Glasses. Wire-rimmed glasses don’t just make your birthday guest of honor look like Harry, he’ll become the little wizard himself.

Prefer playing the villain? Opt for the Lord Voldemort costume. The most evil wizard in the world will visit your birthday party and things will really get hopping. Or, pick out a Death Eater Bellatrix for the birthday girl and watch every one run screaming… with laughter. The mask, hooded dress, and cummerbund are the perfect trio of frightening birthday party accessories.

Everyone dressed? Good. Now class, it’s time for a scary good time. Direct everyone into the game room to open the Wizard Hat Pinata. At a full 19″ high x 10″ wide x 10″ deep, it holds a ton of wicked goodies. Order a pinata filler kit and stuff them into the secret opening. Then, let pull the string and stand back as a magical shower of candy and toys come raining down.

Super-naturally, you’ll want to do some decorating to set the mood. Hedwig the Owl is the perfect accessory to turn your home into the Gryffindor library. This 11″ Styrofoam accessory will give your home the Hogwart look. Add a hooting-owl soundtrack for an authentic setting. Add a Harry Potter Lantern to the mix. Your home becomes a Harry Potter-style castle thanks to this 6″ high plastic lamp.

Buy Harry Potter party goods and get set for a magical day. With your home, and the guest of honor, made up to look like they just entered the wonderful world of Gryffindor, your celebration is sure to be a success.
